Isis imposes fuel blockade on rebel-held northern Syria

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant is blocking oil sales to northern Syria, activists say, unleashing an economic weapon that could cause food shortages and hospital shutdowns, and may undermine the rebels’ fight against the jihadi force.

The blockade also shows how heavily dependent even the group’s enemies are on the crude it produces, and how much influence that allows the jihadis to wield.

Over a year ago, I suspected this would be but one of many ISIS tortures. If I could see it, wonder if anybody in the White House did? No, any such outspoken military men have been forced to resign by now, based on trumped up sexual harrassment charges.

ISIS should’ve never been allowed to control crude. And who exactly are those Rebels?? Most importantly who is benefitting from this? ISIS SELLS crude to generate revenue for itself; who buys from ISIS? That’s a key question.
