Each year the United States gives approximately $8 billion in mandatory payments and voluntary contributions to the United Nations and its affiliated organizations. The biggest portion of this money – about $3 billion this year – goes to the U.N.’s regular and peacekeeping budgets.
If that seems like a lot, it is—far more than anyone else pays And it’s also, in some cases, bad value for money.

How do you account for the fact that the United Nations Charter follows the format of the Russian (USSR) Constitution of 1936 rather than the format of the (Covenant of the) League of Nations? We are a sovereign nation. Close the UN and burn the building and never do this crap again.
Let’s not get carried away they just updated the building and it sits on prime real estate. I am sure we could convert the building to condo’s or office space at a profit and not cause a conflagration.

That prime space would be scooped up by companies with lots of employees. Who pay taxes. The complete opposite of the UN

Paris or Geneva? No. How about it moves to some third world craphole that needs help. Then they could see first hand what needs to be done. Then when that place is “fixed” move it to the next craphole. And on and on....
We pay too much for the federal givernment..

Personally, I think we should reclaim the land we gave them at Turtle Bay, and set up a tent city for them in Devil’s Lake, North Dakota.
These same socialist countries would have been extinct long ago if it was not for America and its hard working American tax payer!

1) get the USA out of the UN
2) get the UN out of the USA
the above should be part of the GOP platform every election cycle.
This is a ready made campaign goal for Donald Trump. He had made comments similar in the past regarding The UN and developing condos after removing the stink and forcing all UN members forever away from our shores.
