Former U.S. Representative Mel Reynolds, already convicted of having sex with an underage campaign worker, was indicted again for failing to file income tax returns for 2009 through 2012, federal prosecutors said on Friday.

Reynolds, 63, who was charged on Thursday, faces up to a year in prison and a $250,000 fine for each of the four counts against him, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney's office in Chicago.

4th Paragraph down:

Reynolds, a Rhodes scholar and one-time promising star of the Democratic Party, was first elected to Congress in 1992.

Hmmm, Bill Clinton was also a Rhodes Scholar and known sex pervert.

A long demonrat tradition.

failing to file income tax returns for 2009 through 2012

That is stupid. All he had to do was file for extensions and he'd have been covered.

The 2nd Congressional District of Illinois has quite the history of sending real pieces of work to Washington: first Gus Savage, then Mel Reynolds, then Jesse Jackson, Jr.

“The 2nd Congressional District of Illinois has quite the history of sending real pieces of work to Washington: first Gus Savage, then Mel Reynolds, then Jesse Jackson, Jr.”

And what do all three have in common, besides their district and political party?

Well, I was going to say facial hair, but Gus was always clean-shaven and Jesse has been the past few years. So that can’t be it. Savage is a rabid anti-Semite, and Jesse might be considering who is father is. I don’t know about Mel. How about none of them could keep their hands off of women who aren’t their wives?

As I recall, after his sentence was commuted by Bill Clinton, Jesse hired him at the Rainbow Push Coalition. Birds of feather.
