Ben & Jerry's Celebrates Gay Marriage Vote In Its Own, Unique Way Company renames one of its best-selling ice creams, as Apple boss Tim Cook hails a 'victory for equality, perseverance and love'

Ben & Jerry's has renamed one of its best-selling ice creams to mark America's decision to make gay marriage legal. The US dairy giant has changed the name of its iconic Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream to "I Dough, I Dough", and designed a special commemorative tub.
It follows the Supreme Court's ruling that gay marriage should be allowed across the entire US, settling once and for all what had been one of America's most divisive social questions.
“Ben & Jerry’s is proud of the Supreme Court’s landmark decision against discrimination as it boldly stands up for equality for same sex couples everywhere,” said Jostein Solheim, Ben & Jerry’s chief executive.

Just another lie by the left. There was no vote. Well, if there was a vote, it was by the Supreme Legislature, aka Supreme Court. The rest of us? Oh, we voted, and most of us voted against same sex marriage, but our votes don’t count.
Every time the right tries to resolve these differences civilly, the left cuts us off. At some point, the right is going to quit acting as though everything is being played fairly. We’ve been cheated out of our votes yet again.

I keep hearing that word.....
If the purpose of a marriage is to provide an opportunity for the pro-creation of children and their upbringing to become valued citizens through the passage on of the parents mores, values, and love of community/country...
then how will gay marriage ever be equal?????
Unless they’ve found a way for same sex couples to pro-create that I’m unaware of???????

What Obama did to the WH was to spike the football and insult the millions who oppose gay marriage. Where are the RNC leaders? Have you heard any protests from Boehner, Graham, Mitchell, McCain, Sen. Snowe?
It’s a not so clever marketing move.
B&J is closely identified with Leftist causes to begin with, so it’s not like they’ll lose many customers here. Packaging it as a special commemorative edition, with the press and word of mouth mass exposure for the name change, will drive a major spike in their sales, will create long term brand loyalty and entice a lot of people to try it and switch to it.
Pretty much a no brainer for them. And I’d guess that once the novelty wears off they quietly switch the name back under the auspices of being “retro”.
