Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee told conservatives Saturday that the Supreme Court tried to “unwrite the laws of nature and the laws of nature’s God” when it legalized gay marriage across the nation. […]

Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry derided the ruling but didn’t suggest a next step. “These decisions need to be made in the states,” said Perry, who noted that his states’ rights plank extends even to Colorado legalizing recreational marijuana in defiance of federal drug law. […]

On Friday, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum said the gay marriage ruling was “based on a lie” that gay-marriage opponents are motivated by discrimination. …

This is really about the erosion of the Constitution. Actually, at this point, it is about the success of the Progressives to change the Constitution without the people’s consent.

I agree. This is about a lot more than gay marriage. The dems have proven they can get what they want with a sympathetic SC (usually) and EOs. This is WITH a Republican (RINO) controlled Congress.

Wouldn't it be ironic if this ruling by SCOTUS was what finally pried the Black Churches away from the Democrat Party?

Let’s have a three-way race to see who moves away from the Dems faster, between such churches (if they’re voting Democrat they’re voting liberal), the liberal Catholics and the liberal Jews.

It’s utterly unfair that only two homosexuals can marry at a time, and that the participants must be human beings....

Really, so NOW the gays are going to get "conservative" on us, and insist that polygamists can't get married? Tsk Tsk.

I agree. It no longer matters whether we elect Republicans or Democrats to office - they do their bidding to those with money and influence, certainty not the common folks.

We have lost Government by the people and as such it is too late to matter about who we vote for.

Goodbye America, was good knowing ya...

It started with Lawrence and its assertions about homosexual sex.

Ah no, it has been happening slowly on many fronts and is only accelerating at this point! Seems that when everything in government and the so called watchdogs (media) are in cahoots, bad things happen.

My acquaintances and friends who are liberal Catholics are really happy with the SC decision. They will not be moving away from the Democratic party. They think Republicans are mean.

I mean the determination of the judges to redefine marriage. First Lawrence and then Massachusettts. The concept of popular sovereignty is abhorrent to these guys.

Liberals Catholics rejected Humanae Vitae back in 1968. This includes many priests and nuns. Every year it seems more and more prophetic. Here we are like the kingdom of Israel during the time of Amos, all far and happy, but within a decade the roof had fallen in on them. We may be in the same boat in 2025.

Another aspect is the ability of dems to quickly change the views of people towards gay marriage. They have done this via years of indoctrination by the media and government schools. They have gotten people to accept gay marriage even though they personally find it disgusting (yet wont publicly admit it). If they can get them to accept disgusting behaviors then there are no bounds to what they can do
