Why is it that everyone who evolves has gone from being against homosexual marriage to being in favor of it???

Isn’t it possible that one could come from a position of favoring homosexual rights, etc. and then think about it, and decide that it’s more important to maintain social norms and traditional laws in the area of marriage??? Why is it that the evolution only goes in one direction???

It’s not “everyone” it’s those who have been elected into office or secured their governmental thru nepotism . These people have been elected into whether you voted for them or not. It’s also about corporatism & big money in USA politics. Hopefully you understand we have been living in a corporate state for quite a while now. The flim flam man in the Hut is just one of many minions to scratch the surface of the American psyche and divide & tear down our country like no one has ever seen before . Eisenhower warned of the military industrial complex. He was right in the larger sense of the word but now there is no industry here in the US-it’s corporatism, the military & intelligence complex that’s running the show now.

You’ve raised a good question here in your last paragraph & I would direct you to something known as Hegelian Dialectics
see link i’ve provided which I felt was a better choice than say a wiki entry but you might find something there, too.

to answer your last question about” evolution only goes in one direction” you will find the answer to that question if you read the link I’ve provided.

Isn’t it possible that one could come from a position of favoring homosexual rights,
I've always been "libertarian" when it comes to CONSENTING ADULTS and their sexuality. I don't give *bleep* who sleeps with who, but gay relationships are inherently different than between a man and woman. And there are homosexuals who have the intellectual honesty to realize this. The late Dusty Springfield, who was considered a "quiet" lesbian, she didn't deny her sexuality but never made a big deal about it, did express misgivings about "gay" marriages
