How do people with this little common sense become mayor?

You have yet to cross the great divide and accepted the fact that none of these hairbrained ideas are supposed to succeed. They are intended to fail and their failures to usher in chaos and collapse. On a theoretical level, the Cloward-Piven strategy is nearing full implementation; on a practical level, the arsonists are now in charge and they are burning our country down.
