I am hardly Sam Melomo but I can work on a fair amount of my own vehicles. Seeing how a lot of people who can’t reason basic problems such as changing tires is sad.
Even sadder being an IT person and seeing the total lack of sense on the fundamentals of using a computer.
I can’t wait to see what happens when the grid crashes after the SHTF and they can’t make fire without google or SIri telling them what to do.
Your comment makes me feel good. Both my daughters know the basics. One blew an engine a couple days after buying a new battery. She removed the battery before scrapping the car.
Both girls had a flat. As they were getting ready to change it, some guy stopped and saved the m the trouble, but they knew how.
My son just started a summer job for a home remodeler who is a friend. The remodeler is very excited because my son can do basic stuff. The other day he framed installed and insulated a wall. I told my buddy that he’s helped me with all that stuff.
Another friend who is a realtor told me that in virtually every home he’s been in where the owner is under 40, one thing is missing. A toolbox.
I was at Home Depot yesterday. A pajama boy type was looking for drill bits and didn’t know if a Ryobi would fit in a DeWalt drill. I helped him out. He gets points for trying and even going into a Home Depot. It must have been scary
