For patriotic movies, it's hard to beat "The Best Years of Our Lives" starring Fredric March, Dana Andrews and Harold Russell.

The film is about three United States servicemen readjusting to civilian life after coming home from World War II.

Released in 1946, won seven Academy Awards.
