Its been two years since former vice president Al Gore claimed the Arctic would be free of sea ice, and despite fears of a hastening polar death spiral earlier this year, the north pole looks like it could have near normal ice coverage this summer.
After experiencing its lowest maximum sea ice extent on record, the Arctic ice coverage has rebounded and is currently within its normal 30-year range. Near the end of May 2015, experts warned the Arctic ice extent was at daily record low levels because of early ice melting in the Bering Sea and low ice conditions in the Barents Sea.
Yet, even during the May melt, ice [was] tracking at near-average levels in other parts of the Arctic, according to the National Snow and Ice Data Center. The Arctic is nearing the peak melting time for the year and sea ice levels are well above where they were in 2012 that year saw record low levels in the early summer months.

Algore will be Long Gone before the Ice goes
There is only 202 days left for Al’s 10 year countdown to the earth burning up. I recommend that all liberals move to the tropical paradise in the Arctic while there is still time.
“There is only 202 days left for Als 10 year countdown to the earth burning up.”
Yeah, I’ll just bet that Al’s father (that Commie who hung out with the leaders of the USSR with his buddy Armin Hammer back when he was a Senator) is looking up at Al from Hell and he’s really pi$$ed off that his son turned out to be such a looser on all accounts. No doubt that he raised an idiot son.
He mentioned the tanker that went through there in 1969, which I had never heard of, so I looked it up...the SS Manhattan, which made it through from East to West, went to Prudhoe Bay, had a single barrel of oil loaded, and went back the same way.
Fascinating. It was at the time they discovered the oil in Alaska, and they were trying to decide if they could use tankers or build the trans-Alaska pipeline. At the time, the Canadians were insistent that this was a Canadian Strait and not an international strait (Possibly true, not arguing there) and the administration of Trudeau in the Seventies and the environmentalists mobilized the Inuit to demand that the ship ask for passage as it encountered them while breaking through the ice, which the captain did, presumably via a megaphone, and the Inuit "granted" permission!
It was a 115,000 ton tanker, specially modified with an icebreaker bow. However, it was determined to be unfeasable, so they scrapped the idea and built the pipeline instead.
Wikipedia never gives up on the global warming, though, and they state in their entry: "...The Canadian sovereignty debate generated by Manhattan is being rekindled as multi-year decreases in sea ice, due to global climate change, make further ship transits likely in the future. The question is whether the passage can be considered an international strait or not..."
Scumbags. Stated as a fact.
There’s a picture of a submarine at the north pole with NO ice what so ever. This is from the 50’s.
Al bore should have shot himself in Vietnam when he was looking down the barrel of that M16.
Great photo if you haven’t seen it.

More than 90% of the worlds glaciers are growing
Not only Crater Glacier, more than 90% of the worlds glaciers are growing. In direct contradiction to the 2007 IPCC claim that ice from the Himalayan region could disappear by 2035, glaciers are actually growing in the Himalayas. Were talking about the greatest chain of ice-capped peaks in the world from the Himalayas to Tian Shan on the border of China and Kyrgyzstan and satellite measurements show that the Himalayas have lost NO ice in the past ten years.
Not only have they lost no ice, in a defiant act of political incorrectness, some 230 glaciers in the western Himalayas including Mount Everest, K2 and Nanga Parbat are actually growing.
And the inconvenient fact is that all seven glaciers on Californias Mount Shasta are growing. This includes Whitney Glacier, the states largest.
Study: Cold weather kills 20 times more people than hot weather

“Cold weather kills 20 times more people than hot weather”. A point I’ve been saying for a long time. As much as I don’t care for “hot” weather, it’s a lot easier to survive. Oh, and grow stuff too. :>}
I have that and one other. I wish we could just upload photos instead of hot linking them.
I know, this thread would be very funny. The al bore one is priceless.
HOLY GOD ! what a psycho.
Hugh and the Ice Road Truckers are going to be pissed.
