You mean this passage:
"That was Anns home address, where she had a makeshift room outside her parents bedroom. But she and Obama and the infant never lived there. Even if they had wanted to, there was no space. The Pratt family was still there, taking up the rest of the house. Cindy Pratt, the daughter, said that she had no memory of the Dunhams daughter bring home an infant home. Only a few days after the boy was born, the father had to fill out immigration papers to extend his student visa. The residence he listed on those papers was 1704 Punahou Street, apartment 15.
He doesn't mention any other sources and in the same passage he mentions Cindy Pratt as a source. And at this point the only cited source.
Yes, Stanley Ann, Barack Sr. and the baby never lived there together. But it is indisputable that Stanley Ann lived there before the birth and her parents continued to live there after the birth. Maraniss seems to be implying that Stanley Ann, Barack Sr. and the baby lived at 1704 Punahou Street. IMO,I doubt it.
It seems that the only point you are able to make is that when she filed out the birth certificate form she listed her parents address as hers. Something she also did on her passport applications.
Are you arguing from the above passage that SAD did live at that address when she gave birth? If so, what in particular that Maraniss said leads you to that conclusion? He actually says just the opposite.
As to Maraniss “implying” SAD and the baby lived at Punahou, that is simply a reading comprehension issue. Maraniss implies no such thing.
Listen, Obama-apologist: here is the fact. Nowhere apart from the disputed BC is that house identified as Obama’s birth house. Go to your favorite search engine. Type in ‘birth house’ for Bush, Clinton, Carter, Reagan, etc. In each case, up pop multiple images of the house in which each one’s mother lived at the time of birth.
Now do the same for Obama. Images of the house cited on the BC do NOT pop up. Nor is there a plaque outside that house listing it as Obama’s birth house. Tourists do not pull over next to the house and take pics, so they can show friends and relatives that they personally viewed the house Obama’s mother was living in when she gave birth.
You have no evidence to bolster your case: none. You simply make yourself look foolish by insisting, sans facts and evidence, that this is the actual birth address.
Perhaps you need to contact the HI tourism bureau, and tell them you have identified the house in which SAD was living when she gave birth. Then they can add that ‘fact’ to their guidebooks, and direct tourists to the location.
Oh wait; you can’t do that. You have ZERO evidence.
