WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In light of last week’s revelations that a senior official with Planned Parenthood admitted to working with abortion providers to potentially violate federal and state laws, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) sent letters today to Dr. Francis Collins, Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and Cate Dyer, CEO of StemExpress. The letters request documents and additional information from NIH and StemExpress in order to determine their potential involvement in Planned Parenthood’s possible illegal conduct.
After sending the letters, Sen. Cruz remarked, “The recent revelation by Planned Parenthood that it encourages its affiliates to perform abortions in certain ways in order to maximize profit is not only abhorrent, it may also violate federal law.
“Given NIH’s role in dispensing taxpayer dollars for fetal tissue-based research and StemExpress’s procurement of fetal tissue for profit, it is imperative that both followed federal law at every turn.
“I welcome the opportunity to work with Chairman Grassley and my other Senate colleagues to ensure that all appropriate laws are being followed and taxpayer dollars are not being used to fuel the abortion industry.”
The NIH letter in its entirety can be accessed here, and the StemExpress letter in its entirety can be accessed here.

Cruz: He is very fast with SPECIFIC feedback about the issues, not just bloviating commentary.
I am curious as to where the “revenues” from selling dead baby parts are going? Do you suppose they are just part of the operational revenues of Planned Parenthood? Or do you suppose they are somehow hidden under the table?? So as not to reduce Planned Parenthood’s need for more “funding” from the government.
Good question!!
Sen. Cruz Sends Letters to NIH, StemExpress about Potential Violations of Federal Law"Sen. Cruz Sends Letters" to bureaucrats. Donald trump delivers his message to the people. It keeps getting worse. Does this guy really want to be President?
Did Karl Rove hire Cruz PR people?
Do we really need a frigg'n letter writer for a President?
You staunch Cruz supporters better start worrying or do something...SOON.
Does any evidence exist that shows Cruz being anything other than a first place man
I gave an answer, here is some more evidence lewislynn exposed that shows, unfortunately, that Cruz isn't behaving as a first place kind of guy.
Read post 4 from Lewis.

Absolutely. Trump may be running interference for Cruz, but if we want our country to survive, Cruz must be our next president.
Very little disagreement form me on that issue.
The problem is, no one knew about it.
Trump did more in 3 weeks that Cruz did in the previous 3 years to make those issues know to the general public, and to get them onboard with him.
A political genius in the basement isn't worth much.
Trump will bring him up and out to the front porch.
GO TED!
