I’ve always thought that proposed amendments to the Constitution are a silly issue to debate in a Presidential election, considering that the President has no role in the process.The Bully Pulpit, with the right President in residence, can be an effective tool - especially if that President has no qualms about calling out the atrocities and standing his ground. Cruz and Trump are the only two so far that might be able to exert enough pressure to correct some if the crap we now suffer.
