The Mississippi Democratic Party received a shock this week when its favored candidate lost in the primary to a truck driver who didn’t spend a single cent on his campaign and says that he was too busy to vote for himself.

46-year-old Robert Gray won the gubernatorial primary with more than 50 percent of the vote. He carried all but three of the state’s counties.

He got a call from his mother on election day who was excited that she voted for a candidate with her son’s name—she didn’t know it was actually him because he hadn’t told any of his family or friends that he was even running.

How embarrassing is this for the Dems in Mississippi? A harbinger of what is coming down the chute next year as Progressives take it up the hind parts . . .

Sounds like the democrat party is as useless in Mississippi as the republican is in California.

How To Win A Primary With No Money Or Effort! Robert Gray of Jackson, Miss., who won the Democratic primary for governor, outside the governor's office at the state Capitol on Wednesday....... Gray, 'a long distance truck driver', was a surprise winner, having spent virtually 'no money on advertisements 'and doing a very limited amount of campaigning.

“Vicki Slater, the party-backed candidate he defeated, has been actively campaigning since she announced her campaign in February.”

Let this be a lesson to would-be politicians. Sometimes, the less we see or hear of you, the more we like you.

He was so obscure that the media had to scramble to find a picture of him after he won.

He was first on the ballot. That’s likely why he won.

On the other hand, he was up against two women so maybe the female vote isn’t a foregone conclusion for Hillary....

“A harbinger of what is coming down the chute next year as Progressives take it up the hind parts...”

Don’t get TOO excited; we tried this in the Mid-Terms and put a LOT of ‘Republicans’ in place all across the land. Didn’t help our side one tiny little bit!

However, I like the way you think and this election outcome is one for the ages.

Think it’ll be on the Nightly News? ROFLMAO! :)

"But it does make one think now doesn’t it!?"

Indeed it does. Even the democrats don't trust the party-backed apparachiks. This is shaping up to be a real hair-pulling political season.

I guess the Republican for Governor is a shoe in so he really likely won’t go further....but this sure would look good on his resume!
