I attended my 55th HS reunion a few months ago—and believe me, nobody will care how much you weigh. They will just be mighty glad to see you!
Have fun!
We’re getting older...
My 20th is just a few weeks away. I remember my mom’s 20th....I may have made fun of her for being old.
I never understood the reunion freak out. Yeah you probably aren’t the healthiest, best looking, most emotionally successful, most financially successful person from your class. You’re also probably not the worst off either. Go, relive old times, celebrate those of you that survived this long, toast the ones that didn’t, enjoy yourself.
NO! We’re getting better—LOL!
that’s what I meant to post...
I thought so—LOL!
I’ve never been to any of my class reunions and have very little interest in doing so. Maybe if I happened to be back in town at the same time, but I’m never going to fly 2000 miles just to spend a night hanging out with those people. The couple of friends from high school I’d be interested in talking to I’m already in contact with, and they were a year behind me.
Sane, here, I have no interest in any of those people who made my life a living hell..............................
I have not seen or talked to anyone I went to HS with since I walked the stage when Carter was in the WH. Haven’t missed a thing.
my high school years were forgettable.
Nixon still had a few months left in office when I graduated.
ok...well sounds like you faced your share of challenges.
I have actually googled the names of a few.
On previous classmate, a female, is now a judge in Birmingham and a big Republican to boot, so people can change, I guess.....................
He had a little over a year left when I graduated, but he didn’t know it then.....................
Piece of cake, be who you are and don’t try to be who you aint. Few you never liked will arrive and you still will not like them. They are the same age as you, and is good to go probably will not be another one.
+1
We are having our 55th in September. We have about 25 or 30 at a once a month lunch so it is not as harrowing as some might think.
The most amazing part of our 50th was that the where abouts of all but 11 was known. Counting those 11 as dead, a full 80 % are still kicking around. That statistic no longer holds for the 55th but at 73, we are in remarkably healthy, good shape.
