Megyn Kelly and Donald Trump Aren’t Apologizing
New York News & Politics ^ | Tuesday, August 11, 2015 | Margaret Hartmann

Fox News chairman Roger Ailes may want to smooth things over with Donald Trump, but that doesn't mean he's going to give in to all of Trump's demands. On Monday's Morning Joe, Trump refused to apologize for saying Megyn Kelly had "blood coming out of her wherever" during Thursday night's debate. "She should really be apologizing to me, to tell the truth," Trump said.

Tonight Kelly opened her show by briefly explaining why that won't be happening. "Apparently Mr. Trump thought the question I asked [about his comments on women] was unfair and felt I was attacking him," she said. "I felt he was asked a tough but fair question. We agree to disagree." Kelly added, "I certainly will not apologize for doing good journalism, so I’ll continue doing my job without fear or favor."

While Trump had reportedly declared he'd never appear on Fox News again, he tweeted that Ailes has assured him he'll be treated fairly, and he's now scheduled to appear on Fox & Friends and Hannity on Tuesday. But on Monday night, Trump went out of his way to mock the network's programming, and finally gave Rand Paul the fight he's been looking for. Here's everything he tweeted while watching Eric Bolling interview the senator while filling in on The O'Reilly Factor:

Truly weird Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky reminds me of a spoiled brat without a properly functioning brain. He was terrible at DEBATE!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 11, 2015

"@Roy_Propsner: @realDonaldTrump ...Don't give up, don't surrender your 3rd party OPTION"— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 11, 2015

We must stop the crime and killing machine that is illegal immigration. Rampant problems will only get worse. Take back our country!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 11, 2015

Why is @RandPaul allowed to take advantage of the people of Kentucky by running for Senator and Pres. Why should Kentucky be back up plan?— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 11, 2015

.@ericbolling you can do much better than you did tonight on @oreillyfactor. Better luck tomorrow!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 11, 2015

.@SenTedCruz had a very good debate, far better than Rand Paul.— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 11, 2015

Hillary Clinton also weighed in on the Trump/Kelly feud, saying of the allegedly menstruation-related remark, "While what Donald Trump said about Megyn Kelly is outrageous, what the rest of the Republicans are saying about all women is also outrageous." In her original debate question, Kelly predicted that Hillary Clinton would use Trump's remarks about women to allege that the GOP is waging a "war on women," so now everything has come full circle.

A great post, Democratic-Republican — a very useful timeline of activities of the vicious shrew. I have copied it and will use it and refer to it frequently.

The sad writing is on the wall for FOX and particularly, the adorable Megyn. She’ll never recover with viewers like me, formerly loyal viewers. A mea culpa would undo some damage, but basically she has hopelessly crashed and burned.

Maybe if the Reverend Al steps down at MSNBC, Megyn would qualify as a progressive replacement. After all, she can enunciate.

Thanks again for the clear perspective.

Let’s see. Kelly attacked, Trump defended himself, and who other than Kelly should apologize?

The politically correct crowd either equivocates that which is not equivocal or will demand acquiescence from the other side. The PC crowd will NEVER back down. Time to have someone on our side who won’t either.

"Would Mr Red State say the same about Bill Clinton? “I don’t want my daughter in the same room with him’"

He shoots, he scores!

Great Idea! I suggest anyone that *still* has an account over at RedState, ask Erick The Red that question.

Just want to add one thing here.

The problem with (R)epublicrats is that they NEVER attack their alleged (D)ummycrat enemies with these weapons.

(R)epublicrats only do this to Conservatives. The despise the TEA Party far more than their (D)ummycrat cocktail buddies.

Mr. RedState has demonstrated this exact problem once again.

Megyn is a shrill feminist bitch who keeps her husband at home being a good boy while nannies raise her kids

Somewhere some man shorted her in her upbringing...it's usually daddy.....or she got poisoned in college....but she is a lovely but chinny harridan who fancies herself strong cause she's loud and pushy but note how they want deference when it suits them....as a poor wuttle girl with mean old Donald the misogynist picking on her

But she screwed up ....her and Wallace and Roger Ailes had to bring the peace pipe after the howl

Look at Fox now....gone is the drumbeat to kill and worse....ridicule Trump instead replaced by more decorum

Loud demanding women are not strong but just rude and shrill

strong woman in real world 150 years ago

Ailes is not gone by any stretch

Murdoch has stepped down from day to day at News Corp and Fox pictures

James has been promoted to number one more or less and Lachlan as his second over mostly the overseas assets and Elizabeth in some role as well

Rupert is now Executive Chairman and Roger Ailes will continue to report to Rupert not James

Fox News makes 50% cash flow off 2 billion in gross income annually or almost one billion

Roger Ailes taps that revenue and Rupert is hands off which is a condition set by Ailes to Murdoch though since they share similar world views it’s not much discord and if it is the Rupert just takes a long look at the cash cow and backs off

When Ailes leaves Fox it will be seismic

I want Stephen K Bannon and Breitbart to found a new cable network
