At least Trump was invited. I don’t know where Nancy Reagan stands on Trump, but it would be a very grave mistake to try to exclude him (not saying she would, but I bet the GOPe would love to try).
Maybe also we’ll have a real debate this time. A lot of people don’t probably know what a real debate is supposed to be like. It’s not supposed to be a bunch of gotcha questions, individually tailored for each candidate. A debate is supposed to be about policy, each candidate answers the same question(s), and each candidate is given time to rebut other candidates.
What Fox News did was a joke, not a debate.
CNN likely will try to do worse.
But then again, they could really help themselves by doing a professional presentation, asking real questions, and making themselves look more grown-up than Fox.
Trump being there will automatically give them major ratings, so why not get some good karma out of it?
