Glenn Beck: Why Do Conservative Pundits Support Trump?
Glenn Beck wants to stage a conservative intervention. The former Fox News host and prominent conservative commentator is confounded that so many Republican voters are attracted to Donald Trump. And Beck is particularly bewildered by the conservative pundits who are hooked on the bombastic real estate mogul. "Why are big name 'conservatives' supporting him?" Beck asked wrote in a Facebook post on Thursday. Beck went on to name names, calling out some of Trump's biggest boosters in conservative media: Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Michael Savage.
"I am not talking about the average Joe, I am talking about Sean Hannity or Ann Colter (sic). How about Savage or Rush?" Beck wrote. "These are smart people. What am I missing? Just based on his favorability ratings he could never win in a general. Research shows that he may be near his ceiling now."

Senator Ted Cruz will join Glenn Beck this weekend at the U.S.-Mexico border on what Beck describes as a humanitarian mission. The Tea Party Senator will join the radio talk show host and his followers in his effort to bring soccer balls and teddy bears to illegal immigrant children.

It’s called rebellion against the elite establishment ruling class. It attracts the same kind of fed up voters the Reagan Revolution did. Look it up.
For starters, I know that neither Coulter, nor Rush has "boosted" Trump at all.
Normally loudmouthed Coulter has NOT jumped on anyone's bandwagon.
I can't speak for Hannity or Savage.

You hit the nail on the head. I am also puzzled by the repeated mantra that Trump is not a conservative. Why was that not an issue with people like Beck when Romney was the nominee. It was not an issue with McCain was the candidate. We have not had a conservative president since Ronald Reagan. Now, all of a sudden, we must have a “conservative” when there are none running that are more conservative than Trump. Boehner and McConnell are NOT conservative and they get a free pass from the Republican caucus. In my thinking, the survival of the country takes precedence over the liberal/conservative argument. I just happen to believe Trump for the reason I have seen him on TV for many, many years saying the same things he is saying now.
Why do so-called ‘conservatives’ support you, Glenn? Who are you being THIS week? MLK? Some time ago you were Walt Disney. Another ‘health crisis’ to get ratings and sympathy?

There’s no theme. He bounces around randomly. He doesn’t offer any thought out solutions. He intersperses gossip and insults. He seems to be chasing whatever shiny object bounces across his mind. I’ve never seen anything like it.

He brought up the subject of illegal immigration and he did not back down out of fear of the great Hispanic vote. He wasn’t afraid of being called a xenophobe, racist, nativist, bigot or anti-immigrant. These are all ugly names that have been used against anyone who would even whisper about illegal immigration. The open border crowd even told us what we could say such as “undocumented immigrants” instead of illegal alien.
I have been following the illegal immigration problem for many years tracing it up to the top of both political parties, the Chamber of Commerce and the media. This is a problem that starts at the top, in the power centers of Washington D.C. and New York City and spreads down to all the states. The fake conservatives would talk about many things but not illegal immigration because all the big powers in Washington wanted it. The problem of illegal immigration is the nexus of all the corruption in this country and it exposes the false façade of “honorable” politicians.
