Interesting. The style, vocabulary and language do appear consistent with something a man of his period would have written.
I make note of this because one way to spot bogus founding father quotes is in the flagrant use of cotemporary style, vocabulary and language. Even including sometimes modern idioms.
Pastors should start quoting what the Founding Fathers had to say about the subject. That would be ‘historical’ referencing and would get the point across just as well.

Bill 59 is of the opinion that ‘truth is no defense’…ultimate protection of Islam is being crafted in which quoting from Islamic doctrine by non-believers will be prohibited. It would seem the way to combat this would be to organize counter-jihad movement as a ‘religion of liberty’ – on its own.
