If this happened under a republican president, calls for the resignation of the EPA head would never die down. Instead no one has said anything, especially the feckless fool on the hill. Now we know how feckless the feckless one is, as if there was ever any doubt. This commie buffoon McCarthy should resign and all governors of the states impacted should sue the EPA and congress should abolish the agency.

Unfortunately, this is more the norm in govt than the exception. The first call on any agency’s funding is the salary and especially the yearly bonus amounts for executives, then middle management. Actually hiring people to do things is a very very tertiary consideration. The EPA is no worse than any other agency in this regard.
