Labor unions facing tricky choice in Democratic primaries

The choice facing labor unions in the Democratic presidential race boils down to hearts or heads—Bernie Sanders, who embraces their forceful opposition to a big trade deal, or Hillary Rodham Clinton, who is a strong favorite for the nomination.

Clinton has campaigned as a fighter for middle-class families and carries with her establishment support and ties to labor leaders going back to her husband’s White House years. But her unwillingness to take a position on the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a proposed trade pact vehemently opposed by labor, has made some union leaders and workers wary.

Sanders, meanwhile, has made his opposition to the trade deal and a message of economic inequality central to his upstart campaign. At large rallies across the country, the Vermont senator has championed a $15-an-hour minimum wage and a single-payer health care system, putting him in line with many unions’ aspirations. …

The Commies are confused.

There should only be one candidate, why should voters have a choice, choices are wrong! Bernie would agree with this, like underarm deodorant...

With Trumpka, the head of the AFL-CIO, being a communist, and he is open about it, he will probably back Sanders who is a fellow communist.

H’mm but are there any anti-communists left in the unions any more? In the government unions like SEIU, probably not; in what remains of the trade unions that Trumpka runs, there might still be some.

“The Commies are confused.”

Too bad they aren’t embalmed.

It’s tough trying to figure out which of the Democrat choices will NOT be in prison by election time.

It’s tough trying to figure out who will imprison any of them, really. The investigative process can and will certainly be drawn out past the election time, by which Obama may wield his pen and phone to grant pardons.

True or Hillary as POTUS could pardon Huma and Mills.

I thought the unions were pro-choice. Let each member choose who they want, because I can tell you, in the energy industry most of them want the esteemed Junior Senator from Texas.

What is the dilemma? Sanders is their obvious choice.

Sanders would render them as powerless as the unions in Red China, hence their dilemma.

Easy - just endorse Jebby the Bush. Problem solved.

I’m just hoping that after the 2016 election, there’s someone in office that will peel back the layers on the rotten onion that’s been created in Washington.

Good point. We already knew Hillary would stop at nothing but her lieutenants have skin in the game too. Would their trials go past Obama being out of office? Would he even pardon them? He has a mean streak a mile wide.
Another reason not to vote for Jeb because he would pardon them to be less divisive. So would plenty of the others. Cruz would however lock their cells himself.

It’ll be Hillary! against whoever we can come up with. Trump will be 3rd party and she’ll win.

What third party?

What second party, for that matter?

Later in the cycle Trump (D-NY) will find an excuse to run third party tossing the election to Hillary! He’s maxed out on potential voters and the polls mislead because so few declared Republicans vote in the primaries. The goal is to bleed the GOP front-runners, particularly Walker who the unions have targeted. Trump (D-NY) is a Clinton stalking horse.
