Scarborough Accuses Kerry State Department of Hillary 'Cover-up'
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

At what point will members of the Obama administration, from the president himself to John Kerry and other senior officials, down to the workaday folks of the West Wing, decide that Hillary's email scandal is doing intolerable damage to whatever's left of their legacy, and decide to pull the plug?

A significant line was crossed on today's Morning Joe, when Joe Scarborough flatly and repeatedly accused John Kerry's State Department of engaging in a "cover-up" on Hillary's behalf. How much longer will Kerry be willing to sacrifice his reputation on the altar of Hillary's presidential ambitions?

"Cover-up"???

What Nixon did is nothing compared to Hillary's email scandal!

And this is nothing compared to previous Clinton scandals!

The most disgusting thing about all this is not the Clintons. Everyone has known what they are from the very beginning, though their enablers chose, time after time, to ignore it--and to cover it up.

What's really disgusting is the corruption of the Left, the Democrat Party, the Press, the so-called "journalists", especially the so-called "investigative journalists"!

It is their vile duplicity, dishonesty, self-aggrandizement, and corruption that are so disgusting.

And they way they turn on one another on a whim!

"If you need a friend in Washington, get a dog."
Harry Truman

One of the most emetic things of all was watching the so-called "investigative journalists" congratulating themselves and resting on their "laurels" after destroying Richard Nixon, as though they had accomplished some great virtuous service.

To their credit, when the Republicans realized that Nixon was guilty of wrong-doing, they immediately abandoned his support for that reason.

In contrast, Democrat operatives and their henchpersons on the Left circled the wagons to protect the Clintons and all the other Democrat politicians, regardless of the severity of their crimes, in one vile display of power politics after another!

The most important lesson to be learned from all this--but don't expect the American people to learn it!--is the importance of small government

Imagine the kind of people who are attracted to power of the magnitude of that concentrated in Washington!

Imagine what such people would be willing to do to get and to keep such power!

Try to imagine to magnitude of corruption that IS Washington!

It attracts power-hungry psychopaths and other disfunctionals like a magnet!

The corrupt head for it as soon as they can leave home!

The corruptable are quickly corrupted!

Can anyone resist corruption in that environment?

Only the most morally incorruptable resist such power. No matter how much they want power and success, the price is too heavy for them to pay. Try to imagine them staying in an atmosphere like that.

Decent people get out of there as fast as they can.

"Harry, I don't want to spend one more minute in this place than I have to."
Bess Truman

“Does anyone recall the stonewalling that went on around the Nixon coverup of Watergate, which was relatively innocuous as compared to the vast damage to national security that is involved with this private server?”

Seems like I remember that it began to break open when Alexander Butterfield testified before the Watergate Committee that the automatic tape system existed. It wasn’t long before John Dean stepped forward (in exchange for immunity) and testified that Nixon knew about the cover up. BTW, with Dean, once a rat always a rat!
