Let me take this opportunity to thank you personally for your efforts on this thread series. IIRC, you began with the year 1938, a year before the war. I have thoroughly enjoyed it. You put a lot of effort into posting the microfilms of the NY Times and other dox.

I’ve been an amateur WW2 historian ever since I was old enough to read in the mid ‘50s, but I learned a lot here from the various posters.

Thanks for following my posts all these years. You were one of the earliest readers and gave me encouragement when I wasn't sure if it was a worthwhile project. You also tipped me to the two WWII diaries that I linked to every day (until one of them changed format).
