2) Surprised that the announcer off of Sagami Bay knew how to pronounce Yokosuka ("yo-KOH-ska"); practically no American who has been stationed there ever pronounces it correctly.
3) Notice that it's the commies in the government who want to give atomic power to the whole world, which of course means the communist world. It was true that the communist world would have the bomb in a few years as some predicted, but it was because of the spies in our government.
4) The Sino-Soviet agreement was silly. The Soviets essentially stole the railways and anything else they could get their hands on, and handed everything they could to Mao and not Chiang. 5) And that refrigerator with the Sterilamp? cf. here
Sort of like Obama and Kerry trusting the ayatollahs to carry out the Iranian nuclear deal.
But, I like this newscast especially because it shows the beginning of the cold war with Russia occupying the northern half of Korea and supporting Mao in China, and the leftists wanting us to share atomic technology with the newly formed UN. No shortage of idealists then as now.
