GOP frontrunner Donald Trump on Friday ripped longtime Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin and her hubby Anthony Weiner, calling the ex-Congressman a “perv” and a “sleazebag” during a speech in Boston.
Trump said that Abedin — whose first name he repeatedly mispronounced “Ooma” — worked closely with the former first lady and has access to classified information.
“And who is Huma married to?” Trump asked, according to The Hill. “One of the great sleazebags of our time, Anthony Weiner.”

Not at all. He pronounced it correctly. Trump is a very worldly experienced person. He is well educated and fairly intelligent. He would not make the mistake of mispronouncing it or nor be aware of how it is spelled.
For example, He made a point at one his speeches about the pronunciation of QATAR.
We pronounce it CAW-TAR.
He said that THEY pronounce it CATER.
Trump knows exactly how Huma's name is pronounced in HER FAMILY's NATIVE TONGUE. You can bank on that.

Trump deals with people from all over the world, and any businessman understands that a quick way to make a bad first impression is to mispronounce somebody's name. His staff probably gives him a cheat-sheet of phonetic pronunciation of the names of anybody he is likely to meet or refer to. And he WILL study that sheet.
No, but perhaps the same rule applies to Arabic or whatever the origin of her name is. I would not assume that Trump mispronounced her name. The “professionals” in the news media mispronounce words and names frequently. I would bet that Trump is right and the writer of the article is wrong, but I cannot prove it right now.
