I would recommend that these people (the Black Lives Matter bunch) be a bit careful as they could EASILY turn back the clock on everything that Dr. King established, starting with the right of blacks to own guns. I’m not suggesting going back to race-based laws...I’m just saying if ‘civil rights’ now means one group being able to shoot and kill cops at will, the country will side with the cops. I can promise that.

Before you hold him up as a pillar I suggest you do some real serious studying about him.
I remember thinking that King was a Christian. I was reading an old newspaper when I came across this article about him. I was shocked so I asked a good friend of mine who was in college during Kings heyday.
He brought me a file with hundreds of articles some of which chronicled his communist connections and behind the scenes actions.
The FBI files on him also documented his extreme womanizing. He makes BJ Clinton look almost celibate.
