All these so-called “wise men” and pundits keep thinking the American people want complex policy statements - well look at how well Carter did and how we all got behind Dukakis/S. We want a leader who understands the big picture and who knows how to pick the right people to carry out strategy not the explain every tactical detail without understanding that our enemies are not standing still and cooperating.
