What a dumb statement to involve a coach! How often do players assault a ref in a game? Not exactly something a coach expects to happen.
The two guilty thug players probably plotted after not liking a call.

As I understand two other players were ejected earlier in the game.
Sounds like the coach does not have control of his players.
