After perilous sea voyages from neighboring Turkey, they have been stranded here for days, some for nearly two weeks, running out of money and desperate to get to mainland Greece and continue their route.
The island of some 100,000 residents has been transformed by the sudden new population of some 20,000 refugees and migrants, mostly from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan — and the strain is pushing everyone to the limit.

I’d like to know why Cuba, North Korea and Iran aren’t stepping up to the plate and agreeing to take on at least 65,000 of these “refugees” each. The UN should be all over this like...
“Hundreds” isn’t going to cut it. We need at least 65,000 homes to take them in, shelter, clothe, educate, feed and care for them and their families until they get on their feet and purchase their own home and buy their own groceries. American taxpayers shouldn’t have to do it. Time for these petition signers to put up or shut up.

Refugees are supposed to seek safety in the first nation of refuge. If they are heading north that is Turkey not Greece and it certainly isn’t Germany or any other EU nation, look at a map!
Anyway you would have to be an absolute fool to believe an invasion force consisting of 80% who are fighting age men are genuine refugees. If the town you live in was in danger would you leave your mother, sister, elderly, nieces and children behind? I wouldn’t and I don’t know any man that would.
We need to stop calling the vast majority of these people refugees. I guess the globalists have figured out it sounds better than illegal immigrants and evokes more sympathy but people need to engage their brains and see what is going on here.

I guess I should have put a sarc/ tag on my post. I don’t want them here either. The petition signers should be required to provide everything for anyone the agree to take in. Put that on them instead of the taxpayers and they’ll stop signing all of these moronic, goofy petitions.
