Hillary: ‘I Am Going To Make Some Employers Go to Jail
National Review ^ | 09/08/2015 | Tom S. Elliott

Posted on 09/08/2015 6:38:45 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Speaking at a Labor Day rally in Hampton, Ill., today Hillary Clinton threatened to imprison employers for “wage theft.”

“We’re going to go back to enforcing labor laws,” Clinton said. “I’m going to make sure that some employers go to jail for wage theft and all the other abuses that they engage in.”

“And we are going to make it harder and harder to stop what should be the right of every American: to join a union and bargain collectively through that union,” she continued. “But, I’ll tell you, we’ve got a fight on our hands.”

The presumed 2016 Democratic candidate also endorsed President Obama’s executive order mandating government contractors provide employees “paid leave.”

“I was very proud that President Obama said today he is going to require federal contractors to provide seven days of earned paid sick leave,” she said. “And he’s going to fight for paid family leave, something that I’ve been fighting for for 30 years and we’re going to get it done. It’s not right to treat working people as though they don’t have other responsibilities.”

What is "wage theft?"

Is there such a thing, or is Hillary just saying she'll jail anyone who doesn't pay whatever she deems appropriate?

It's what the federal and state governments commit against taxpayers.

WARNING, RANT AHEAD...
I am constantly amazed at what an empty shell of a human Shrillary is and how everything is spoon-fed to her, from what she should say and think to every thread of clothing that, mercifully, covers her non-descript body. She’s done nothing in her life without establishment help, accomplished nothing on her own merit and totally f’d everything up she’s meddled in. She’s the most glaring example of an anti-appealing slug on our fallen planet; a black hole sucking the energy from every venue she treads upon. What an absolutely useless chunk of cellulite that still walks under its own power and an intellectual invalid. Has she ever held a job? Has she ever completed a lick of housework? Her baby was probably fed formula from a surrogate liberal kool-aid drinking worshiper. There’s nothing, nothing this pseudo-human, genderless wonk can do with any amount of competence. Her allies hate her but they lay down their careers - for the cause. She has a name and that’s all. She owes everything to circumstances and Satan. A talentless, morally vacant cyborg with nothing to offer, no redemptive value, not one original thought. Her entire life is scripted, uninspired, disingenuous and void of any truth on any level. I don’t believe she can cry. I don’t believe she feels. She’s a complete sociopath and would put Heinrich Himmler to shame if given the chance. I don’t believe she knows right from wrong yet always gravitates to wrong. I don’t believe she qualifies as a genuine human. /RANT

Hillary’s reply: “Who cares? Not me, especially after getting dummies to didn’t realize that to elect me.”

The real “wage theft” is taxes. I suggest we arrest everyone in D.C.

No, the REAL wage theft is OVER REGULATION......even more hideous than taxes because it's more hidden, often after the fact - like Obama Care for example. Or the new NLRB ruling. But yes, arresting everyone in DC would solve that problem too! (remember, to paraphrase Carville: "it's the bureaucrats stupid")

"“We’re going to go back to enforcing labor laws,” Clinton said."

The states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate INTRAstate labor. This is evidenced by the following clarification by the Supreme Court.

”State inspection laws, health laws, and laws for regulating the internal commerce of a State, and those which respect turnpike roads, ferries, &c. are not within the power granted to Congress [emphases added].” —Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

So if Clinton really wants to enforce the vote-winning but unconstitutional federal labor laws that are already in the books then she must do the following.

Clinton needs to work with state and federal lawmakers to propose a labor amendment to the Constitution to the states. And if the states choose to ratify the amendment then the feds will have the constitutional authority that they need to regulate intrastate labor issues like wages and Clinton will be a hero

Sounds familiar: “But modern bourgeois private property is the final and most complete expression of the system of producing and appropriating products, that is based on class antagonisms, on the exploitation of the many by the few.” ― Karl Marx, The Communist Manifesto

As predicted by yours truly, Campaign 2016 is going to be a Populist Free-For-All.

Sending EEEEEEEVIL Employers and Bankers to jail was, of course, going to be put on the table at some point.

IOW, she wants to imprison her rich donors for not paying employees what she thinks they should pay, and for not forcing every single employee into a union whether they like it or not.
