Shepard Smith, Fox News host, cut into his own press conference coverage of the release of Kentucky clerk Kim Davis from jail to rail against her, as well as those who supported her denial of wedding certificates to same-sex couples, saying such is simply a "religious play" that has no business in government service.

Shepherd Smith has it backwards. Maybe the lawless Supreme Court ruling was simply a "religious play" that has no business in government service.

The law in Kentucky mandates that marriage is between a man and a woman. Kim Davis was upholding that law, not an incorrect Supreme Court opinion. There is no constitutional connection, especially taking into account natural law; the Supremes invented a "connection."

It is a “hopeless secular confusion” play.
