California schools posted standardized test scores Wednesday for the first time in two years, and the results were not stellar.
Just one-third of the state’s public-school students were tested as proficient for their grade level in math and only 44 percent in English, state education officials said. Under the old test in 2013, 51 percent of students were proficient in math and 56 percent in English.

It’s hard to believe that not so long ago California lead the Nation in education.

16% of black students testing at grade level. You think that this would be something the Black Lives Matter crowd would be focused on.
I suspect they already do that on a regular basis.

Maybe the educators should concentrate more on reading, writing and arithmetic, instead of daily propagandizing for the gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender agenda?
Well since whites are now a minority in California it stands to reason that less than half would be proficient according to testing.
Yeah I said it. School is much less important to our largest ‘immigrant’ class. Especially since their parents have on average an 8th grade education and speak no English.

When LBJ was sworn in as president, most blacks lived in intact families with mothers and fathers present, went to church, and education was highly valued.
Then LBJ instituted his “Great Society,” which destroyed the black family and the ghetto gansta culture has taken hold four generations later. Now education is a “white” thing and very uncool. Look at the FOX night time soap opera “Empire.” They are glamorous rap stars, and appeal to young blacks who think they can make millions and without having to spell “cat” even if you spotted them the “c” and the “a.”
LBJ hated blacks by the way. He sure succeeded in destroying them. Somewhere in hell I’m sure he’s happy about it.
The solution is the teachers need more then the $80,000 average they are getting now with a very nice pension paid for by everyone else.
If LBJ is in hell, he is not happy. Satan, however, is pleased with his (temporary) success.
