I don’t hear a peep from them now.
If you compare the 2004 and 2012 numbers, the former GOP voters who sat out the election were the (mostly) non-college age, White, young voters who had no belief in either Obama or Romney. They are the GOP version of the Low Information Voters, and convincing them to vote for what they consider a rich, or CEO level candidate is not a job the GOP has proven capable of pulling off. They are also not likely to be the ones found on FR.

I didn’t vote for Romney then and I wouldn’t now. These are all you get in the declining stage of an empire — worse (Romney) or worser (Obama) candidates. I do not wish to participate in my society’s extinction at either the medium pace (Romney) or quickening pace (Obama).
Good, sincere candidates like Cruz will never make it to the candidate stage in these times.
