Six defendants in the sweeping criminal prosecution of Raymond “Shrimp Boy” Chow, part of a public corruption and organized crime investigation that ensnared a once-prominent Democratic politician, pleaded guilty on Wednesday, prosecutors said..
In a San Francisco courtroom before U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer, the defendants entered their pleas to some of the charges filed against them in an indictment that alleged gun-running, a rampant pay-for-play political culture, money laundering, drug trafficking and more.
None of the six admitted to racketeering, a count for which former state Sen. Leland Yee, one of the many caught in the wide-ranging federal inquiry, pleaded guilty to in July.

I am just hoping that this judge gives Yee the whole twenty years in the slammer. He was at the forefront of anti-2A efforts here in CA, while he was “gun running” himself. And the rest of them should see cells until they are too old to walk without a walker. Then then should have their citizenship stripped and be deported back to China! I guess the only thing that pi$$es me off here is that we have to pay to keep them behind bars. In China they’d have to pay for the bullets used to shoot each of them in the head!

:Pleaded vs. pled. Pleaded is the standard past tense and past participle of the verb plea. Pled has always been considered incorrect by people who make such judgments, but it is so common that we have to accept it as an alternative form.”
But is still not considered acceptable in highly structured writing.
