Scott Walker to propose abolishing unions for federal workers - ABOLISH NLRB
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel ^ | September 14, 2015 | Patrick Marley

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker plans to focus Monday on weakening labor by proposing to abolish unions for federal workers, create a national "right-to-work law" and eliminate the National Labor Relations Board.

At a Las Vegas manufacturer, he also plans to call for requiring all unions to hold periodic votes so workers can decide whether they should continue to exist, according to his campaign. He will also cancel President Barack Obama's Labor Day order that federal contractors provide paid sick leave and work to end policies requiring some salaried workers to receive overtime—saying in some cases they should get time off instead.

"It's time to address the problems with collective bargaining in public service rather than tinker around the edges. As president, I will work with Congress to eliminate big-government,federal unions on behalf of the American taxpayer."

..In 2011, just weeks after he became governor, Walker proposed all but eliminating collective bargaining for most public workers in Wisconsin. That sparked massive protests and prompted Senate Democrats to leave the state for three weeks in an attempt to block the legislation.

Walker and Republican lawmakers overcame that opposition and put the measure now known as Act 10 into law. Their opponents tried to recall Walker from office, but he survived the effort, becoming the first governor in American history to win a recall election..

At construction equipment maker Xtreme Manufacturing in Las Vegas, Walker also plans to propose:

Ending the ability of unions to require government workers in some states to pay fees to unions.

Banning the federal government from withholding union fees from workers' paychecks if they go toward political activities.

Barring caps that would prevent employees from being rewarded for exceptional work..

Establishing protections for union whistleblowers to protect them from retaliation.

Then get rid of it.

The GOP is in charge of both houses of congress right now.

Apparently the GOP doesn’t want to.

Donald Trump exists because the GOP created the vacuum that he filled.

The only charlatans I know of are in the GOP.

They have proven themselves to be liars.

Sorry, that’s the way it is.

I'll kill 2 birds with one stone.

How to win the Walker way.

You weaken the Left's power, cut off their money and go after their sacred cows - you don't wait and ponder your next move, you KNOW what you're going to do and keep moving - you don't give them time to set up offensives or regroup, and you do so much at once that they can't beat them all back.

Mother Jones Scott Walker Is the Worst Candidate for the Environment

......."He really has gone after every single piece of environmental protection: Land, air, water—he's left no stone unturned," said Kerry Schumann, executive director of the Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters. "It's hard to imagine anyone has done worse."

Here's a rundown of Walker's inglorious history of anti-environmentalism......"

To much, to fast.

He would have federal SWAT teams attacking his supporters, like he did in Wisconsin.

Then you should like Walker because he wants to get rid of so much and send our money and the decision making home to us.

The real wall that needs building is between government and Democrats.

Concurring bump!

LOL! ... you’ve come a long way from the ‘chicken in every pot, a car in every garage’ from Herbert Hoover’s 1928 campaign!

I hope Walker gets the chance to make his case for dealing with public worker unions.

He'll be speaking about it in detail today in Las Vegas. That should generate some attention to the issue at the debate.

I would advise a sharp focus on Federal Government Employee Unions.

There is strong resentment for unaccountable Fed Gov Employees. This is the horse to ride.

Gov. Walker and Right to Work movement is all about defunding Democrats. I'm okay with that.

Watch Missouri on Wed. A handful of Republicans are refusing to vote to override Gov. Nixon's veto of the Right to Work law. After Nixon vetoed the law in May, unions gave him $500K. But that is to be expected of Democrat pols and their union buds. One wonders what "incentives" unions are offering all these Republicans?

Depending on what area of the country, government employee unions can be much more forceful in terms of recruitment methods and "donations."

The problem is not unions. It is the excessive regulation that unions and corporations are forced to abide by. Our government is tilted toward whoever gives the most amount of money to politicians. Both sides are giving tons of money in order to gain influence. This needs to change, but I do not believe it is possible.

And when the ATF, FBI, and who knows what else starts raiding people on Walkers staff? You know what happened in Wisconsin right?

The local police did a smash and grab on people on Walkers staff, and then said they would prosecute anyone who talked. Many fled Wisconsin.

I like Walker’s talk, but he doesn’t protect his own. He left them out to dry.

“In case you did not notice, it is the communist that don’t allow unions. In America we are still free and have the right to meet and organize our thoughts in a group.”

Governor Walker isn’t suggesting that all unions be outlawed. I don’t know how you could legally do that, even if he was. If a group of workers think they can negotiate a better deal together, go for it. What he did was prevent the unions from forcing unwilling workers to join.

People have a right to meet and organize. They don’t have a right to make other workers pay for it, nor do they have the right to pretend they speak for all their fellows.

Mandatory union membership only results in union dues going to leftist pockets.

I believe a union and a corporation have a right to negotiate anything that they want - including creating membership in a union as a condition of employment. Saying otherwise is interfering in contracts and is not freedom.
