The FEDZILLA would never allow it!
President Trump would put his foot down and Constitutionalist CRUZ (as his VP) would swallow his TEXAS Pride, and go along, this time.

Of course not. The question though is what would they be in much of a position to anything about it?
If a state decides to leave, the remaining states are in quite a pickle. Are they going to send troops to prevent it? Would said troops be willing to fight? Would people be willing to join the military to fight to keep a state that didn’t want to stay within the union? None of that is a certainty. And then you have international situation. What if a new republic decided to ally itself with say Russia to defend its territorial integrity? Are the remaining states willing to play nuclear tag with the Russians?
Let’s hope we never find out.
