If I were the government, I'd send these people back to wherever if they are not citizens and if they are, I'd have already in place ... internment camps.

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH US THAT WE WILL NOT RESPOND/REACT TO A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER ???

There is justifiably a strong sentiment against public schools here on Free Republic. Similarly, there's a healthy skepticism when it comes to those in law enforcement. Unfortunately, even here on FR, there's a mild undercurrent of anti-Southern and anti-Texas bias. I think all of those factors were at play as the story first unfolded in Irving, Texas. The Irving ISD was branded as "idiots", the cops told to wear bicycle helmets and in general the school, the city (and even Texas) were characterized as "retards" and "morons" by some here.

Now that the unvarnished facts are being exposed by Conservative Patriots such as Pam Geller and Rush Limbaugh, those who early on were hastily defending Ahmed Mohamed (called a "bright kid" in that thread) are in the same boat as those who believed the scurrilous liberal lie of "Hands Up, Don't Shoot". Yes, Mark Zuckerberg -- that's you!

knarf: You are spot on! The Republic does indeed face an existential threat from the enemy within. That enemy can be identified. They're seen flowing into the mosques springing up everywhere, a blight on this Great Land. A no-nonsense, zero-tolerance, proactive response is urgently needed. Like you, knarf, massive deportation ought to be on the table. In fact, in my view, muzzies should not even be American citizens! The soldiers of the Confederacy, our forebears in many cases, were seen as the enemy during the WBTS. How in the name of all that's sacred, are members of a satanic death cult whose clearly stated, sole aim is to murder we "infidels" any less of an enemy than those good men who donned the grey uniform in 1861?

And for those that think knarf and I are "extremists" on the issue, just take a look at the sheer size and scope of the imposing Islamic Center of Irving, not far from MacArthur High School where the "bright kid" brought his "clock" into English class. They're already here and in massive numbers...and growing day-by-day!

Irving Texas Mosque: An enemy fortress on our very soil!

“Unfortunately, even here on FR, there’s a mild undercurrent of anti-Southern and anti-Texas bias.”

Yea but they know they don’t have a leg to stand on with it.
Especially people from the northeastern communist block.
It’s really no big deal at all, they know their place.

Yes! I had to drive by that monstrosity on my way to Wal-Mart for years. It always upset me..

‘cause I was wondering ... why such a big mosque? How many muslims are they expecting.

I think they built it in Irving because Irving has become a mecca for all sorts of ethic groups. They behave differently. The Indians bought up all the strip malls and raised the rent on the current tenants. I’ve had two people tell me they were forced to leave their places because of this.

The Muslims? I don’t know what they are up to but I’m glad the Irving Mayor is holding fast against a mighty backlash of criticism. We need to stand firm with her.

Of course, I’m not in Irving any more ... as of 3 months ago I moved to Maui, but I still care about Irving.

Count me out of that. If you only knew how wrong you were to attribute that to myself.

But I doubt you will, since you got all butthurt at being criticized, and now are working over-time on gathering insinuations
from far and wide in order to "get even" with those who called you out for over-reacting to what is still most likely to be
simply a the kid's relatively low-grade tinkering, regardless of how it may otherwise look, and who is father is, etc.
I think many have possibly misjudged the father, too, failing to see the lack of Wahhabist style radicalization, for the man appears
to be of a different sort of Muslim, not one who pushes violence as "the" answer.

It is the over-reactions which are still retarded --- even IF IT WAS some kind of deliberate set-up, because over-reacting
would have us doing what our enemies would desire for us to do, and feed right into "grievance industry" that has been used
to weaken us in many ways, and is now being opportunistically picked up on by the likes of CAIR, 0bama and the self-satisfied
elitists on the left, in reassuring themselves (and anyone watching) that the conservative right, Pamala Gellar included, is
like the boy who cried wolf.

Now if this kid (and his father) really is a potential problem, then there are ways to obtain snooping warrants to gather
intelligence on that family, including but not limited to looking into past online activity in order to determine if anyone at
that residence searched the internet for bomb-making instructions, etc.

If the police take off their bicycle helmets long enough to examine the possibilities along those lines
(and do so quietly enough that they don't get caught breaking laws while doing so) then in the future, the bicycle helmets
could work to their advantage as camouflage (lulling would-be extremists into thinking the police are hopelessly dumb).

It still looks to me like it was not a deliberate set-up. Although it could have been, is is more likely instead a
situation that various people have tried to take advantage of, like I've already said to you -- but you failed to acknowledge
any possibility for. I guess that would be too hard on your pride?

Don't ping me to any more of your crap. It's not North Texas itself which is moderately low IQ, but it appears to me
that you are moderately low range IQ, and riding a butthurt too.

The problem with that, is that doing so is still playing right into the hands of the likes of CAIR, to use as ammunition
against anyone who opposes their agenda. North Texas muzzies thank you for your efforts. Now they can have continuing butthurt
too, and walk around identifying themselves as being part of a stigmatized, even 'victimized' class, and have the marginal
stupidity like the over-reactions to the kid's stupid pencil box "clock" to point towards,
as example of how just how wrong those who criticize Islam really are, etc.

If you can't see that aspect of things by now, I don't know what to say. Perhaps since you were offended, you failed to see
that aspect even after it being explained to you for the second, or third times.
