Geir Lundestad, who also awarded the prize to terrorist Yassir Arafat, stated in his memoir, “We thought it would strengthen Obama and it didn’t have this effect.”
Let’s briefly set aside the fact that the Prize was conferred on Barack Obama and concentrate on the reason the Nobel Committee awarded the Prize in the first place.
Since when do we give out awards and prizes to someone who hasn’t even accomplished a damned thing? They wanted to do it solely because they thought it would strengthen Obama?!
On the criteria alone, the Nobel Committee should be disbanded and no more awards given out EVER!. I only know a little of Alfred Nobel - but somehow I have to think that he’s rolling in his grave right now at how this committee besmirched his good name and efforts.
What it all says is that the Nobel Peace Prize is in reality a prize given to anyone who will/might/can influence the world to accept a communist society. It is not the only good intention sounding organization that uses it’s wealth to promote an agenda.
