THIS is still HORRIBLY WRONG!

Minimum carbs on their stupid pyramid = 105.2 grams. I would GAIN weight on that intake of carbs. . . and it would be a horrible diet. I survive on 40 to 60 grams of carbs per day and under 1000 calories per day.

Maximum carbs on their stupid pyramid = 761.8 grams. Everyone would gain weight on that constant diet of carbs.

They have no clue what they are talking about. . .

That food pyramid is upside down.

Eating lots of ‘healthy whole grains’ and following that food pyramid turned me into a t2d.

Reversing that stopped the t2d cold.

YMMV, of course.

They have no clue what they are talking about. . .

And they've also been wrong about good fats and bad fats, and good cooking oils and bad ones. Their advice loaded Americans up with trans-fats for forty years. I never stopped using butter and have been using coconut oil about ten years now, and eating fairly low carb.
