Google a current picture of Jamarat and you will see how different it looks today.
Isn’t that a large village, not just a small scene. Maybe this is from a previous stampede, which is still an ugly thing, but at least it would not be contemporary. (Though one would think they would have figured out a way to prevent the stampedes by now.)
