“Is boehner claiming that his plan has somehow been successful? I dont think his definition of success matches up historically with any moderately competent leader of any type of organization.”
That’s the first big mistake a lot of these clowns make, their idea of success is so different than ours that they never achieve success yet they spout and brag about it.

What a jerk traitor. Bashes his own party while kneepadding Obama and Dems.
A perfect example of why term limits are needed and the power of central governments must be reigned in

I’d call Boehner a surrender monkey but it would be an insult to surrender monkeys everywhere......even the French!

His success ( note the quotes ) was actually the shutdown that forced both sides to come to the table on a budget that actually cut the deficit from $1.5 trillion to $500 billion today.
Other than that, all we have are continuing resolutions with no budget in sight.
There used to be a time when a budget deficit of $400 Billion would be cause for alarm. Now a hundred billion above that is considered no big deal.
THAT is success according to Boehner apologists.

Boehner is right. The votes aren’t there. Obama was reelected. Conservs are a minority. Have the vote and make your impotence headline. He knows the reality and doesnt want more repub humiliaton. But, lets have at it. Humility comes from humiliation and pbama smiling real big is ok, the rapist can grin, the raped will not stop the fight. Cruz will give us the humility we apparently still need for some reason.

The problem with "plans that won't work" is that Republicans always talk themselves out of even putting the ball in play. Going through the process is important, because one never knows what might happen once all sides engage. We do know that nothing will happen if Republicans never engage.

When I was on the mound at 11 as a Little League-er, that was a real possibility.
Not since, though.

Way way back when Boehner was just one of the guys -— the 7 had a name for themselves -— and he would get mouthy and bold but alcohol and power sure made him a worthless pussy subject to blackmail.

Conservs are a minority.
Every poll shows Conservatives are a majority and liberals are minority. So I do not know where yo got your information.

They compromised him hard on something. You can see the expression and body language demonstrate how much he hates being the Administration’s dog, yet he fetches when told to fetch and rolls over when told to roll over. I think someone more or less on our side got the same information, or its equivalent. They own him on something.
