‘You Felt Bad for John Boehner?’: Beck Confronts Carly On Her Past Criticism of Ted Cruz’s Tactics

Carly Fiorina defended her past criticism of the controversial tactics employed by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) to defund the Affordable Care Act, during an interview that aired on TheBlaze TV Tuesday evening.

Glenn Beck confronted Fiorina with comments she made about Cruz’s 2013 strategy to defund President Barack Obama’s signature health law. Many have contended the Texas senator’s efforts were largely responsible for the government shutdown.

“When Ted Cruz, a lot of people have pointed this out, when Ted Cruz who didn’t shut the government down — when that happened, you said, ‘Everyone could see this train wreck coming. I actually feel bad for John Boehner. And I think Ted Cruz’s tactics were wrong. There is no honor charging a hill that you know you can’t take — only casualties. Although Ted Cruz may have gotten name recognition and money along the way, President Obama wanted a shutdown and Ted Cruz played right into his hands.’ You felt bad for John Boehner?” Beck asked.

I understand that Glenn Beck and John Boehner are going to do a celebrity duet remake of Julie London's hit, this new version titled "Cry Me A Tsunami".

The fact that she attacks Cruz for standing up tells us, she is telling us she would not stand up.

If you want someone who is guaranteed not to cause a kerfluffle in some silly issue, vote Carly.

I would have so much respect for her had she dared to defend Cruz. So many of these people are so easy, they see every other candidate as a rival and whatever they say or do, they think they have to find something wrong with it. I am so much more impressed by the rare candidate that stands and defends his rival when his rival is right.

I watched the whole video as well... and it’s scary that I thought to myself that the Republic of Texas needs Cruz as a Senator more than the nation deserves to have Cruz as President. He is a GREAT statesman.

Can’t watch the whole thing. It poisons my soul to see someone lie again and again with no shame whatsoever. Snarly is despicable.

Oh yeah....poor Boehner. Now he can have a decent retirement and enjoy his life. Who would want to be in politics today. You have very little ability to change anything with all the laws and regulations already instilled in the government. Heck we can’t even take a few million out of the budget for Planned Parenthood who has enough donors to not even need the federal money but that can’t even be done.

Glenn challenged her on her statements. She’s not some “pet”.

He has defended Cruz for standing up to the Establishment.

BTW, the “shutdown” was so bad for Republicans that they increased their numbers in the House and took over the majority in the Senate.

I listen to him for the entertainment value. I don’t take him too seriously.

Ah yes, Glenn Beck. The only commentator who is able to carry on with his broadcasts from a padded cell.

Glenn has amazing communications skills. However, he just is not well balanced.

“There is no honor charging a hill that you know you can’t take — only casualties.”

This is a very clear picture of her weakmindedness. The only casualties from the government shutdown were Democrats.
