If this teacher had been armed, she would’ve maybe stood a chance. However, had she shot him to defend herself, that would’ve opened up a whole ‘nother can of worms.

The biggest mistake many whites make is underestimating the level of hatred with which many blacks are raised. If they err on the side of caution, they should be fine.
I see no reason why any white person would expose themselves to this danger; teachers especially have all kinds of regulations preventing them from being alone with a student (though in this case I understand he followed her into a bathroom).
