Sound sorta like us. - I’ve gone to drinking instant coffee after years of brewing it. The machine got too messy when I only drink about a cup a day & husband doesn’t care for it.
We drive older cars, too. Husband has “taken me off the road”, I guess because he thinks at 69, I’m a hazard. So, I try to cooperate. It works okay. He doesn’t think much about the times he has had me drive him to the ER; I tell him he had better let me keep my hand in at driving a little bit anyway. - He hasn’t mentioned the couple he’s been hung up on having out to visit lately. I still think he just needs to go out for lunch with the old buddy & let the wife do her “thang”. I’m not one to keep on beating my head against a brick wall. - A few of his old high school buddies came out a few weeks ago; and we went over to Cracker Barrell & had lunch. It was nice; and not a strain on anybody. - Husband had to get a cellphone many years ago; back when they took up a whole passenger’s seat in the car. The receiver was as big or bigger than a whole cellphone today. - No one had a cellphone back then. We aren’t very progressive; but we were having to stop at every pay phone along our route for him to make appointments. Boy! That changed in a hurry! Now, they might as well just tape the things on their heads. It freaks me out for someone to walk up behind me yakking & I think they’re talking to me instead of talking to their phones!

My aim is probably lousy. Daddy was a WWII combat infantryman in the Army; shell-shocked all to hell. I reckon he thought if he just didn’t teach me good marksmanship, I’d never have to fight in a war. I wish; but if wishes were horses; beggars would ride!

It is never too late to learn to shoot, and women have better fine motor control as a rule than men. That makes them more accurate if they haven't been taught bad habits. With modern optics, if you can see it, you can hit it, with a little training.

About the phones, I gave up my 'bag' phone when they told me they changed things and it would not work any more. I view them as something of a necessary evil. A convenient pain in the rear.

I really hate it when someone comes toward me with one of those bluetooth gadgets, their head turned slightly away and completes their call. When you say "Hello" back, they look at you funny, and I have to console myself with the thought that if someone was walking around appearing to talk to themselves like that just a couple of decades ago the guys in the white jackets would have scooped them up.
