So when oil prices per barrel go up, gasoline prices go up, but when oil prices go down, gasoline still goes up.

Got it.

We were under $2 for a while, but it’s gone up 15 or 20 cents in the last couple of weeks.

Did these magical analysts predict the steep drop in prices we’ve seen?

I know it's in the middle of nowhere, but last week in Bullhead, regular was around 2.47 -- we filled up at Sam's at 2.37.

It's always easy to tell you're still in Needles, because the gas prices always begin with one digit higher.

For every reason why gas prices should fall and stay down, there are over 25 reasons why the prices “will necessarily skyrocket.”

Another thing happening at this time is this switchover to heating oil production from gasoline production. With the end of driving season and the onset of winter, consuming public will be buying less gasoline and more heating oil for the next six months. Happens every year about this time...although many of our correspondents here are completely gobsmacked with surprise each October, like it didn’t happen last year, or the year before that, or the year before that.

I bought road diesel in Temple, Texas for $1.84 yesterday....... I almost fell over.....

Also, I read that Saudi cut oil $1.80 yesterday and was going to lower even more.
