Study claims to locate genetic differences between gay, straight men

A new study claims to have located nine parts of the male genetic code that indicate whether a person is heterosexual or homosexual.

However, the study's authors also say that there is some evidence that environment plays a role in a man's sexual orientation by altering the activity of certain genes.

Does this mean that a baby’s DNA could be tested for this pattern?

If they develop a genetic test for unborn children, will the Left get upset when people start aborting homosexual fetuses?

Well, they CAN’T find it out to be a lifestyle choice, less it affects their “special rights” and privileges.

What next, Social Security disability checks for this “birth defect”?

It would seem that that set of genes would have long ago been purged from the gene pool, since it would not be carried on through the generations (or at least rarely in the case of bi’s).

As soon as Planned Parenthood gets a hold of this the homosexual social problems will start to fade away.

Boys abused by faggots makes faggots.

I’m sure there is some nature vs nurture going on.

But prosthelytizing, I’ll bet, is the # 1 reason.

I don't think there would be any kind of study, if there wasn't money to be made.

Already happening by both Hispanic and Chinese parents around the world.

The Google news would be that if we can find the damned genie that’s causing this mess, then we can fix it and wipe the perversion out! Wow!

Because identical twins have the same DNA, the presence of "split" twin pairs indicate that sexual orientation is not down to DNA.

Well that just...ahem...blows away the "homosexuality is genetic" argument.

These new studies are just wonderful.

I was reading about a study that scientist claim they can make gold out of lead.

Isn’t academia great or what?

They admitted to one huge problem with the genetic conclusion: how can there be identical twins where one is hetero and one homo? Like the Cray twins, gangsters who ruled London’s underworld in the sixties.
If it’s genetic, twins would be either all homosexual or all heterosexual.

“We argue that, for all practical purposes, gays should be considered to have been born gay–even though sexual orientation, for most humans, seems to be the product of a complex interaction between innate predispositions and environmental factors during childhood and early adolescence...
... To suggest in public that homosexuality might be chosen is to open the can of worms labeled ‘moral choices and sin’ and give the religious intransigents a stick to beat us with. Straights must be taught that it is as natural for some persons to be homosexual as it is for others to be heterosexual: wickedness and seduction have nothing to do with it.”

“If it’s genetic, twins would be either all homosexual or all heterosexual.”

Not necessarily at all. For a known example, women who have CAIS (Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome) are people who have the male 46 XY sex chromosome who you would normally expect to develop as unequivocal males. However, they do not, because there is another gene which controls whether or not the testosterone will function normally to control the development of male genitalia and morphology. Instead, the person develops with most female characteristics. There are other examples where genes, prenatal environment, and other factors can change or redirect how the development of the individual person proceeds. This can easily account for the differences in some of the twin pairs.

The study says that there are still environmental factors that could trigger the genes
