Judges. The apparent real power in america today, along with bureaucrats. Both can dictate laws at will without recourse.
If the framers of our constitutions had wanted judges to set political district boundaries they would have made provisions for that.
This is why it’s not a good idea to elect Daniel Webster as Speaker......he might not have a seat......PLUS he’s a lousy speaker.

personally, i’d want the entire districting concept to be nothing more then grid lines. straight horizontal and vertical lines set a certain number of miles apart.
from there, corruption couldn’t even be accused. just random luck.

If elected Speaker, Webster would be unaffected by thus as one does not have to be a sitting House member.

Since when does a judge have the authority to redraw congressional districts?
Isn’t this the same cr@p they pulled on Col Allen West? This redistricting, er, stuff?
This judge is determined to implement the redistricting plan drawn up by the democrats and the other liberals who brought the lawsuit in the first place.
Through infighting and ineptness the majority republicans gave him just the opening he needed to justify doing just that.

“hard-line”. Webster has a 74% conservative rating by Heritage Action, so that makes him a “hard-line conservative”? But I guess if you’re a hard leftist Associated Propaganda writer like Gary Fineout everyone more conservative than Adam Kinzinger is “hard-line.”
