I personally do not believe in tasers as I have personal knowledge of cops that used them out of pure meanness.

I just wonder how did cops handle such a situation before tasers? I have a feeling whatever methods they used were quite effective.

I’m certainly not sticking up for this jerk, he should have complied, but I do not think he deserved to be tasered.

Sorry, they’re here to stay. As for the “pure meanness” use, that’s a good way to get fired AND put in jail.

TASERs are used when:

1/ There is an immediate threat to the cops or others
2/ The subject is actively resisting
3/ In fast-paced / rapidly evolving events
4/ Serious crimes
5/ The subject is attempting to escape
