Here's an exchange from Bernie Sanders's appearance on "Meet the Press" on Sunday:
CHUCK TODD: Are you a capitalist?
@BernieSanders: No. I'm a Democratic Socialist.
And, in those five words, Sanders showed why no matter how much energy there is for him on the liberal left he isn't getting elected president.
Why? Because Democrat or Republican (or independent), capitalism remains a pretty popular concept especially when compared to socialism. A 2011 Pew Research Center survey showed that 50 percent of people had a favorable view of capitalism, while 40 percent had an unfavorable one. Of socialism, just three in 10 had a positive opinion, while 61 percent saw it in a negative light.

Of the 50% that said they liked capitalism I’m sure a good chunk liked capitalism for others in order to finance socialism for them.
“I am 73 years old.”
I don’t know about this. I was driving around Flagstaff, Arizona, The Liberal Bumper Sticker Capitol of the World, this last weekend. I saw no Clinton bumper stickers. All the ‘RAT bumper stickers I saw were for “Bernie” (No last name).
Bwahahaha - explain Zero then...?
I remember saying in 08 that there was no way that Zero would be elected president...
Sanders isn’t black or a victim or a women and hence why he won’t ever be elected as a socialist..
Thank God Trump is around slaying the PC environment...
I am old and stupid.
“Because I’m a clean-shaven Karl Marx.”
More than five words, but it fits anyhow....
“I’m a frigging goof ball.”
Any asshat that spent his honeymoon in the old USSR has as much business in the White Hut as Barry Soetoro.
70% of the electorate has not a clue what either of those terms mean.
Those five words are why he will.
Unlike other “old school Democrats”, he’s the only one ACTUALLY willing to stand up, say what a majority of voters want to hear (i.e.: free stuff, incarcerate everyone they don’t like), and _mean_it_.
If you think the current voter base recoils at the term “Democratic Socialist”, you’ve not been paying attention. Half of citizens get free stuff and want to keep it that way, and a sufficient chunk of the rest either think they should be getting free stuff to, or think a good chunk of the remainder should be in jail for whatever reason (are rich, own guns, are racist (by whatever definition including simply being of some skin color), or “deny climate change”).
“I find Hillary Clinton sexy”.
Feel the Bern.
“He is a lousy communist”
“I’m not a Democratic Socialist. But I do believe that the government should guarantee everyone health care. And a job or an income. And housing. And at least a month of paid vacation. And twelve weeks of paid maternity or paternity leave. And free child care. And a free college education. But I’m not a Democratic Socialist.”
Something like that.

What scares me is that Ms. Narrative is two for two, and could very well be 3 for 3, regardless of the truth. When the legend becomes fact, print the legend.
How the hell did he take office then, if he does not believe in our constitution?
Do senators have a swearing-in ceremony like the president? or what?
