I'd expand that. At a minimum, at least one warship each from Vietnam, Australia, the Philippines, and Malaysia should also be involved. For if China is to be contained at sea, that will be the coalition.

Agreed. The dangers - and parallels - are quite obvious. Yet few folks really care. Back then, it was Germany and Japan, and to a lesser extent, Italy.
Today it is radical islam and China, and to a lesser extent, Russia.
Back then, the German-American Bund was promoting the filth of nazism right here in the US. The Council on AmericanIslamic Relations (CAIR) is playing the Bund's role today.
